Cereals 2022 – The Latest from our Beanstalk Global Roving Reporter!
Cereals is known as a key date in the arable calendar, offering unmissable networking opportunities. It is a unique event, showcasing the latest in arable farming including the Winter Wheat & Barley Feature for side-by-side comparison, crop plots, NIAB Soil Hole, NAAC Land Drainage Hub and a sold out programme of working in-field demonstrations.
We visited to meet up and interview some key industry contacts as well as Max MacGillivray to chair sessions in the seminar theatres for Beanstalk and Redfox clients.
See our interviews below from Cereals. We are next at the Great Yorkshire Show on the 13th of July with the great team from the AHDB and then at Groundswell on the 22/23rd of July. If you would like us to get involved to film with you or Chair your seminar sessions, please contact us directly using THIS LINK or call 01284 715055.
Anna Hill – Radio 4 Farming Today Program
We caught up with the great Anna Hill from Radio 4 “Farming Today”. She is so experienced and well regarded that is great to gain her industry views in these ever-increasing volatile times. Dial-in…see what she has to say…
Muddy Boots by TELUS Agriculture
Recorded live with Paul Thomas & Sarah Alexander post their seminar session on Data Connectivity.
It is such an important subject and right on “message” and the way that Paul & Sarah presented how Muddy Boots can assist farmers and growers can assist was hugely informative.
The Small Robot Company
We caught up with Jamie Burrows & the team at the Small Robot Company just before they went live at one of the event seminars.
As they state “We are on a mission to feed the world and regenerate the planet” Are they the fourth agricultural revolution? Well, they have 50 units going out over the UK this summer, so looking good!

Agreena
We met Åsmund Hogstad of Agreena. This is a business with a twist…a very positive twist…read on…
Agreena was founded by visionary farmers and fintech-savvies in 2018. What originated as an online commodity trading marketplace has since become one of the first soil carbon certification programmes in the pan-European landscape. Using a set of core practices, Agreena’s platform supports farmers in their transition to regenerative agriculture with the issuance of third-party verified carbon certificates – which can be kept by the farmer or sold onto the voluntary carbon market (VCM) for offset purposes. Accredited to ISO 14064-2 standard, the AgreenaCarbon programme is based on a yearly harvest cycle, with the data capture process giving farmers the opportunity for payouts each year.

Horizon Ag Machinery
Great to catch up with Charles Eaton of Horizon Agricultural Machinery Ltd. They are committed to designing and manufacturing innovative no-till and strip-till products that promote soil regeneration, whilst also helping their customers to improve productivity, yield and profitability. Seems to be working…especially when harnessed to a methane-powered tractor!

Map Of Ag
Map of Ag was founded by New Zealand farmer Forbes Elworthy as a spin-out from his agri portfolio investment business to meet a growing need for data-driven insights into farm performance.
Their focus is on creating the leading data permissioning platform so farms and industry can find, access, interoperate, re-use and above all control how and where their data is used. The platform will underpin an ecosystem of innovative data-driven solutions – proprietary and many more third-party – that drive productivity, efficiency, transparency and Net Zero.
We went live with some of the Map of Ag team plus a number of key industry experts after a very informative Seminar that they ran at Cereals 2022.
All filmed at Cereals, 8-9th June 2022.
Find us next at the Great Yorkshire Show on the 13th of July with the great team from the AHDB and then at Groundswell on the 22/23rd of July.
If you would like us to get involved to film with you or Chair your seminar sessions, be that in the UK or internationally, please contact us directly using THIS LINK or call 01284 715055.
