Agreena was founded by visionary farmers and fintech-savvies in 2018. What originated as an online commodity trading marketplace has since become one of the first soil carbon certification programmes in the pan-European landscape. Using a set of core practices, Agreena’s platform supports farmers in their transition to regenerative agriculture with the issuance of third-party verified carbon certificates – which can be kept by the farmer or sold onto the voluntary carbon market (VCM) for offset purposes. Accredited to ISO 14064-2 standard, the AgreenaCarbon programme is based on a yearly harvest cycle, with the data capture process giving farmers the opportunity for payouts each year.

Map Of Ag

Map of Ag was founded by New Zealand farmer Forbes Elworthy as a spin-out from his agri portfolio investment business to meet a growing need for data-driven insights into farm performance.

Their focus is on creating the leading data permissioning platform so farms and industry can find, access, interoperate, re-use and above all control how and where their data is used. The platform will underpin an ecosystem of innovative data-driven solutions – proprietary and many more third-party – that drive productivity, efficiency, transparency and Net Zero.

We went live with some of the Map of Ag team plus a number of key industry experts after a very informative Seminar that they ran at Cereals 2022.
