Visionary Leader in Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Stewardship.

A strategic, visionary leader who has built a reputation for achieving environmentally and economically sustainable objectives of organisation’s in both public trust and private sectors, they have proven experience at management and executive level with strong connections in the global agricultural industry, supply chains and the natural capital policy space.

With a reputation for building a strong foundation of performance culture built on professionalism and  integrity, and a passion for the agricultural industry, its people, the landscape and its sustainable future, they developed their experience and impressive skill-set after being educated in Agricultural Production and Management in the UK, subsequently securing leadership and management roles across agricultural operations and research, productivity, natural capital and resource management, and agricultural policy in the UK, New Zealand and Australia.

The strength of these leadership skills were identified during the commissioning selection process and time spent until medical discharge as an Officer Cadet at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

Leveraging a leadership style that is inclusive and supportive, they have built high-performing teams which achieve outcomes exceeding expectations. Most recently, in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer, their organisational restructure and implementation of a long-term business strategy resulted in notable organisational growth and quadruple bottom line returns.

Significant work in the sustainability space, particularly in Australia, has included the development of key partnerships in state and industry groups, the adoption of nationally recognised policy, and invitations to present to Global Roundtables for sustainable agriculture.

Building a reputation as a ‘fixer’, they thrive in high pressure situations. This was demonstrated through first-hand experience in Queensland, Australia, consulting to farmers and industry regarding emergency response, recovery and preparedness for natural disasters including cyclone, flood and drought. Experience in private consultancy focusing on financial and agricultural investment strategies, portfolio restructuring, succession planning and business growth are further demonstration of their breadth of experience and industry acumen.

Community-minded, they hold several voluntary non-executive director roles with various not-for-profit organisations focusing on youth enterprise, sport and land management. Their community involvement through playing rugby league at national representative level in England, coaching professionally and presiding as judiciary counsel at state level in Australia, has further enhanced their leadership and communication skills with a diverse range of people.

Their experience in agriculture coupled with broad lived experience brings a unique perspective on incorporating development and on-ground action to help maintain, restore and value natural capital for future generations.
