Over the last several years, this individual has built up a breadth of experience in arable and livestock systems—working across contract farming enterprises, consultancy teams, education providers, and estate environments. They have taken on a wide range of responsibilities, from day-to-day field operations through to higher-level planning, stewardship design, business compliance, and landlord-tenant liaison.
Previously, they held an Assistant Estate Manager position within a large-scale contract farming business operating across Norfolk and Suffolk, where they were deeply involved in:
- SFI and CSS scheme planning and implementation
- Red Tractor compliance and grain storage management
- Day-to-day farm operations (drilling, spraying, cultivations, etc.)
- Liaising with stakeholders and clients to advise on cropping and compliance
- Supporting diversified estate assets including lets and shoots
Their input into the agricultural transition has delivered notable uplift in gross margins, driven by the successful integration of public and private environmental schemes and long-term land use strategy.
Academically Excellent, Operationally Strong
This candidate holds a First-Class BSc in Agriculture with Livestock Management and was named Agricultural Student of the Year. They have also completed BIAC Foundation Courses 1 and 2 and bring a strong suite of certifications including PA1/PA2, livestock injection, forklift, quad bike, and H&S training.
