LAMMA 2026 at the NEC didn’t disappoint. The place was buzzing from the moment the doors opened. Thousands from across UK agriculture made the trip, and it really showed why LAMMA remains the go-to event for machinery, tech and proper sector catch-ups. From the big kit launches to the smart technology and the practical solutions farmers genuinely need right now, the appetite for innovation was everywhere. Add in the seminars, demos and the sheer amount of conversation happening on every stand, and it felt like a strong marker for where the industry wants to head this year.

The event was very well received by everyone we spoke to. The atmosphere was lively, the footfall felt strong, and the exhibitors in the CropTec zone especially seemed to be experiencing high-quality traffic and meaningful enquiries. Always good to see.
Now… signage! Let’s be honest – navigating the halls still requires a mix of detective work and blind optimism. Finding Hall 4 felt a bit like searching for Harry Potter’s Platform 9¾, and the show map in the programme probably needed a magnifying glass borrowed from the plant pathology lab. Small issues, yes — but noticeable. Still, nothing compared to the era when LAMMA was held outdoors at Peterborough Showground in mid-January. Perspective is everything!

One recurring comment from several contacts: the perceived lack of real innovation. It begs the question — do we honestly need yet another £350,000 tractor in the line-up? Or should UK agriculture now be pushing harder for smarter, lighter, automated kit that’s kinder to soil, easier on margins and more tuned to the future?
Let’s see what next year brings… because the appetite for change is absolutely there.
