We know how important it is to be inspired by both big businesses and individuals, which is why we are excited to present Talking Leaders, a bi-monthly initiative from the AHDB which will see a series of inspirational speakers share their life experiences and deliver impactful stories to the AgriLeader community.

This month we are delighted to be joined by 4 times Olympic skier Chemmy Alcott.

Chemmy is an English former World Cup Alpine race ski racer and a fiercely determined and courageous sportswoman.  As the only British female skier to ever win a run in a World Cup, she is widely regarded as one of Britain’s greatest ever skiers.

Having broken 49 bones, Chemmy is no stranger to adversity and remains committed to inspiring the next generation and educating people from all over the world through sport.

Back by popular demand in the second episode of “Staying on top of your mountain” we delve further into what it took for her to become so successful, despite some major setbacks, and how you can apply some of her tips to stay at the top of your mountain.

Chemmy’s latest challenge is The Great Amazon River Raft Race – where her team the ‘USAIN BOAT’  are taking on the mammoth challenge of paddling 180km on a team-made raft in 3 days in the Amazon starting on 22nd September 2022. 

The team want to use this challenge to highlight the need to support the top flight British ski team. All members of the Usain Boat team have benefitted hugely from snow sport – from elite level to passionate hobbies and wish to raise funds to help future talents in British Skiing.
