Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST) SC22 Conference Lunch and Lecture. Beanstalk went Live with a few of the Key People from the Event.

Beanstalk Global was invited to attend the recent IFST SC22 Lunch & Lecture at University College Birmingham.

This was an opportunity to meet some of the speakers and fellow delegates in person at their pre-conference networking event. Professor Robin May (Chief Scientific Adviser at the Food Standards Agency – FSA), discussed in detail what behavioural studies tell us about risk communication and how we might be able to harness that information for the public good.

A great lunch was prepared by students at the College of Food at University College Birmingham and afterwards Max MacGillivray of Beanstalk interviewed a number of key individuals to highlight the event and the upcoming IFST Spring Conference.

We went live with Sterling Crew (who has just been announced as the IFST President-Elect) and Bethan Grylls of New Food Magazine.  The IFST would look to be in safe hands with the likes of Sterling on board with his other IFST colleagues.

It was great for us to catch up with Danny Bayliss of Campden BRI who is their Food processing New technical lead for them all. We talk through what they can offer us all and how the world of sustainability is developing in the food sectors.

Next we went live with Helen Munday – The current President of the IFST on their upcoming Spring conference and why we should all be members of the IFST.

And finally, we went live with CEO Jon Poole & Deborah Kendale the IFST Business Development Director to further promote and discuss their upcoming Spring conference.
