As an early adopter and significant investor, they have made substantial investments in building new business in agricultural and fresh food technology. Their reputation of being a world leading scale-up technology venture in addition to a transformative rural economic development and food safety platform is utterly unique.

You will leverage your entrepreneurial mindset and proven ability to create substantial and profitable growth and build on the foundation already established, to drive the scale and reach of our client through incremental acquisitions, unique partnerships, and smart investments.

What’s Involved:

This key hire will report to the Executive Board and will have full operational and strategic responsibility of the Ag-Tech aspect of the Global business.

You will be expected to drive the business through strategic decision-making coupled with operational excellence as well as being able to build further upon an already excellent team to deliver growth and successfully accomplish the strategic plans. You will provide strong leadership and direction in establishing a culture which is customer focused and operationally excellent. In addition, you have a strong awareness of the competitive sector of International Ag-Tech with the ability to create key relationships with investors, potential partners, and stakeholders.

You will serve as a bridge between the company and its investors, and between the company and its businesses, products, and services. You will have a strong commercial acumen to identify opportunities for growth or viable revenue models to add further to the portfolio, bridging the vision to guide business decisions, company growth and long-term sustainability.

You will develop strong and effective working relationships with customers, as well as putting the right policies and procedures in place. As a strong team player and strategic leader, you will work closely with the Board to further develop and implement the ambitious business plans.

Who Are You?

The ideal candidate should possess at least 15 years of excellent working experience, ideally gained in the field of Ag-Tech and/or associated sectors.

You have led a large business group with a perhaps a significant staff strength. With a proven track record in operational and leadership capability, you are also one who possess an entrepreneurial spirit and is a positive driver of change. We want you to be a persuasive and influential trusted advisor who listens, learns, is curious, sees the nuances, applies facts and data, and can articulate a compelling story in a clear and simple manner.

Past experience in leading teams through M&A efforts, financial and market model development would be high advantageous. Recognized and experienced people leader, energised by leading a team, sharing knowledge and expertise, and supporting, recognising and celebrating success. You are relentlessly focused on the businesses customers, anticipating their needs, thinking about how to create value for them through your products and services.

It would also be advantageous if you held an MBA or Financial Designation. Likewise, our client is keen to see a high level understanding of Agriculture, Food, Beverage and FMCG industries.
