Tom is the Managing Director of The Watercress Company, a business that produces the finest quality products in a safe and sustainable way across their farms in Dorset, Hampshire, Spain and Florida.
To do this they have an amazing team of over 300 experts, from really well-trained seasonal staff to specialist managers in production, technical support and commercial roles.
The business is now 26 years in the making and was founded by their Chairman, Peter Old. He had the foresight and vision to see that by combining two smaller businesses into a new company he could harness the existing energy and resources to build a market leading company which now sells watercress, baby leaf salads and wasabi throughout UK and Europe.
Tom started off in a technical role within the business and has rapidly risen through the ranks to become the Managing Director.
We hear from him his story and his views of the fresh sector in our current times.
