Our contact is a focused and hardworking individual driven by opportunities to make strategic improvements to farming, food and other businesses across the agricultural industry. Whilst much of their expertise, interest and experience lies within commercial and consultancy roles in recent years they have gained insight into and a great deal of enthusiasm for the education around farming, food and the environment.
After graduating from Newcastle University in 2010 with a BSc honours in Agriculture with Farm Business Management they spent over two years working as a farm business consultant. With a comprehensive knowledge of farm management accounting, business improvement and farming practices our contact went on to pursue a more commercial role within the agricultural business sector. They thrived in this role as they were able to take their understanding of the agricultural industry and implement it further along the supply chain to assist with key strategic projects delivering significant value to the company. Our contacts’ principal responsibility was to develop sales with customers through building strong relationships based on competence and trust and to assist with procurement, planning and logistics. They have extensive analytical abilities and is able to evaluate complex problems and propose alternative solutions. Going forwards they are passionate about further developing this skillset and seeking to continue to evaluate supply chains within the industry and drive continuous sustainable improvement through both their commercial and consultancy expertise.
Whilst business and commercial activities remain at the core of our contacts’ experience recently, they have actively been involved in seeking new ways to improve the education of farming food and the environment during the early years and primary school ages. With a passion for agriculture and an understanding of the importance of outdoor classrooms for children’s health, wellbeing and education our contact is keen to continue to try and support local schools with outdoor learning facilities. With more and more emphasis on sustainability, our environment and the ever-increasing pressures on our farming and wider agricultural businesses improving education and facilitating better links through the communities in which these businesses exist will only become more valuable and significant.
